Just got my lawnhog and tried it out yesterday. I’m coming from a 4.5hp gas mower and wasn’t sure what to expect based on the mostly positive reviews here.

I’m totally happy with the purchase.
1) Using the rear bag was a cinch and the clippings didn’t bunch up at all, even though the grass was damp.
2) Getting used to the cord wasn’t a big deal – if you’ve ever vacuumed you know what to do already.
3) It had been 2 weeks since my last mowing and the mower didn’t bog down once.
4) The 1-touch height adjuster is a nice feature.
5) I didn’t stink of gas fumes afterwards.

I think this mower is slightly heavier than my old one, but that just means tilting it onto the back wheels and pivoting when I want to do an about-face. It’s about 75% as loud as the gas mower. I also sprayed Pam on the underside before starting, which someone on here recommended to keep the grass for bunching up under the mower and that worked well, too.

The lawn mower was simple to assemble and to use. It was larger and noiser than I had expected. It is powerful enough for any of the jobs on my modest sized lawn and unlike others I had no problems with the grass catcher. It is good buy.
